The tale of the founding three scientists who discovered a way to save their world from extinction is told to all aspiring young Nauts on the planet of Prospectus. The mass exodus of planet earth is a crucial part of history and is essential in their training.

Before earth crumbled, Herbert Montgomery, Sigwald Toasted, and Jeremiah Deej were scientists studying warp speed and extraplanar travel theories. All other similar projects thus far have had little to no success from thousands of tests over the years. With morale at an all-time low, the government threatened to cut funding on cosmic projects. Almost as divine intervention, the Society scanned an object hurtling through space plummeting towards earth. Afraid that whatever government was left would try and destroy it, the three scientists swiftly formed an elite squad of 33 Cardinal Commanders. Their intent was to pinpoint where the unidentified object would make surface contact. Each Naut was hand-picked by the founding 3, and they were comprised of mechanics, scientists, and hardy explorers. All specialists in their fields of expertise. With a vision that the Society could finally support, they worked diligently to calculate contact. Once located, the team set out to intercept the object along the Gulf of Alaska.

Once the cardinals acquired the celestial object, they returned to base to begin testing. The team promptly realized this object contained chemical components that had yet to be identified on the periodic table. With this new groundbreaking information, they immediately started rigorous experimentation. The team worked day and night and received government approval to name the Mineral they discovered. Acquiring the naming rights for the mineral Scopathan (space stone) was a massive morale booster, and funding started to flow in. The support from their community launched new aspirations for everyone involved. Further trials led them to the breakthrough of their lifetime; The team had discovered that refined Scopathan could be used as a sustainable clean energy source that could power their space shuttle and possibly reach warp speed.

Initial assessments were highly successful, and as part of the next step in their plans, the Cardinals were tasked to find 100 remarkable individuals that could aid them in their ambitions. Once assembled, the crew of 133 began crafting the first spacecraft that could withstand warp speed. After a few years of building and expanding, The Istražiti explorer was finally complete, and a crew of 133 had grown to 333.

This began their first expedition to find the source of Space Stone and officially marked the launch of the Secret Space Society.
